Hi I'm Cathy

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I love to serve. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My mothers faith was the anchor to my success. My relationship with the Savior had always been part of my life growing up. I was married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. I have three beautiful children whom I have taught to love the Savior and to have unwavering faith in him. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3: 5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." I have had many experiences where the Lord has carried me through the rough spots in life. I love being a wife and mother of three beautiful children. My oldest daughter is having my first grandchild in July. My son is serving in the Santiago,Chile South mission and my youngest daughter is counting the days she can put in her papers to go on a mission also. My life has been blessed. I have grown closer to my Savior as I have turned to him in faith, knowing that he listens and answers my prayers. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father gave me the blessings of being a Mother in Zion. I know this is my greatest calling.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been Mormon my whole life. When I was a youth I relied on my mothers testimony and had great faith in her counsel. I have never doubted that my Heavenly Father had a plan for even me. When I married I relied on my husbands knowledge and and faith. There came a time that I had to stand on my own testimony. I had to decide if I wanted to be a Mormon and why. I grappled for answers. I passed through a very difficult time in my life. It was the Atonement of Savior Jesus Christ that made me whole and complete. It is said that you don't miss something until you loose it. Well, until I got on my knees and received my own witness and testimony, did I finally understand that I never really had it. I am Mormon because my relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father are my greatest possessions. I have had a beautiful witness that this church is the true church here on earth. The Spirit of God filled my chest and testified that this was where I belonged. I testify to any that are reading this that you too can have this same witness if you will ponder and pray with real intent.

How I live my faith

I was taught at an early age to serve others. I love serving in my church and in my community. As a girl I would help others by doing service projects for the elderly and single women in our community. I also babysat for families and did not charge. In high school I worked with disable children for a year. As an adult I have been in the Cub Scouting program. I have worked with the young girls in the church. One of my favorite callings was girls camp coordinator. Almost every job I have ever had was involving serving others. I have been a nursing assistant, an EMT and and I worked as a licensed property and casualty adjuster helping families who had a fire or some sort of loss get back on their feet. I wake up every day with a song in my heart and a prayer on my tongue asking my Heavenly Father to lead me to those that need him. I live my faith every day by having faith and relying on my Savior Jesus Christ and remembering him always. As a mother I have passed the same precepts on to my children. I lead by example like my mother.
