Hi I'm Cheryl

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and grandmother and I love it. We have six children and 14 grandchildren-16 by the end of 2012. I am learning to do genealogy and gardening. I also enjoy reading, and I especially enjoy watching my grandkids grow up.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were wonderful examples of what I wanted to be when I grew up. They taught me the gospel and I am a mormon because I know that the gospel is true. With my understanding of the gospel, I have been able to deal with difficult situations in my life, one being the loss of my daughter. Because Jesus was resurrected, I know that we too will be resurrected and that we can be with her again. Another one of my favorite truths of the gospel is the atonement of Jesus Christ. It amazes me how much our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ love us.

How I live my faith

I try to make good choices in the things that I do and be a good example to those around me. I have worked with the children and youth of our church as well as with the mothers and grandmothers. I have learned a lot from all of them. At present I am working with the leaders of the young children. I also work once a week at the San Antonio Temple assisting in providing the ordinances for those who have died without a knowledge of the gospel so that they have the opportunity to accept or reject it. This is such a privilege and a dream come true for me.
