Hi I'm Carolyn

I am a wife, mother & grandmother. I enjoy cooking, sewing, and doing family history work. I am a cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom. I had a home daycare to help with finances for 25 years. I have 8 children and 8 grandchildren. I love being with them and doing things for them. I enjoy cooking and sewing and sharing the things I make with others. I enjoy reading good books and love working in my yard and garden. I enjoy being outside and walking whenever possible. I am working on improving my piano skills to better serve in the church. I enjoy working on our family history projects. I also assist with taking care of my aged mother who is a wonderful example of love and patience. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through numerous surgeries and 4 months of chemo-therapy. It taught me that God is aware of me and that he loves me very much. I am grateful for the experience it gave me. I love serving in the Church and have had callings with working with the children in Primary and the sisters in Relief Society. I especially love teaching the principles of the gospel and likening them unto us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised LDS by wonderful parents who taught the principles of the gospel by example and teaching in the home. It made me want to raise my children to have that foundation in their lives. I have read and studied the scriptures and through pondering and prayer I have received a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. It didn't come all at once but little by little and by continuing to study and much prayer I was able to gain that knowledge that God lives and that He loves me and is aware of what I am going through.

How I live my faith

I read and study the scriptures daily and ponder and pray for guidance as I go about my daily activities. I try to follow the teachings of the Savior and serve my friends and family with love and kindness. I am currently serving in the children’s organization. I have planned activities for the girls of the church and their friends to better live the gospel. I am a visiting teacher to some of the elderly ladies in our area and have learned so much from their experiences. My son has recently been called to serve a mission for the Church and it has been a wonderful missionary opportunity to tell my friends and neighbors about the church and why it is important. I have volunteered to help with the fire victims of a recent forest fire. I worked in the collection center gathering clothing and supplies for the families who were affected. I have worked in the cannery, canning food for the needy and also help work at the Church farms when the assignment comes. I love serving and helping those around me.
