Hi I'm Steve

I'm the father of 4 children and have a beautiful wife. I grew up in UT, but now live in wonderful western WA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent my childhood and college years in northern UT. After serving a mission and graduating from college I moved my family to western WA so we could begin a new adventure in a new place. We love it here. Supporting my busy family of 4 children takes up most of my time, but I do get to enjoy mountain biking in the summer & snowmobiling in the winter.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon defines who I am. Everything I do & live for is a result of what I know to be true in the Mormon faith. The Church provides direction in these troubled times. It provides opportunities to serve others, to learn how to be a better husband and father & gives my life greater purpose.

How I live my faith

Since the LDS church relies on lay leadership there are many opportunities to serve in the Church. Currently, I'm serving as a counselor to the Bishop of our ward. The Bishop is the leader over a congregation, called a Ward, of Mormons. Serving in this position gives me the opportunity to work with the young children & youth of our ward, as well as serving those in need. I love serving the youth & the children. I have confidence in our youth - that they can stay strong & optimistic through these difficult times. They are a source of inspiration to me. Serving in a Bishopric take a lot of time - but I'm thankful for this opportunity to serve and feel greatly blessed for doing so.
