Hi I'm Cory

I grew up in Colorado and I am still here. Family is the most important thing to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of four children (2 boys and 2 girls). I really enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy sports. I enjoy playing basketball, golf, baseball, working out and really just about anything but I can also watch just about any type of sporting event. I also enjoy being at the lake with my family. Boating is one of our favorite things to do. We also enjoy the mountains, whether it is just to be taking in some of the beauty that is there or to be skiing and snowboarding. One of my favorite things to do is to speak spanish. Every opportunity that I get I will speak spanish. I am also a small business owner and I enjoy the opportunity that I get to meet new people through my work.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I have had great examples to follow within my family. My mother and father have long been faithful and have taught me the things that I should do. I also have grandparents that have been a huge part of my life. They have served faithfully and shown me how I should live my life. As a young boy I had the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon and gain a testimony of it. Also as I prepared to serve a mission I really focused on gaining a testimony of Joseph Smith and the restoration of the church. I was able to have feel of the Spirit and know of the truth of those things and it enabled me to share that same Spirit as I served in Mexico City.

How I live my faith

I currently serve over the Sunday School in our ward. This is the first time that I have had the opportunity to do this and I am looking forward to learning many new things. I feel a responsibility to put forth much time and effort to help those that attend out classes to feel of the Spirit. In a recent training meeting I was told that through my efforts as I serve I could save souls. The words hit me very hard and I hope to be able to do things necessary to do that.
