Hi I'm Jeremy

I am a husband and father of two. I love to be active and enjoy running. I am a physical therapist... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Any type of exercise or sport I love to try. One of the main things I do to stay active is running. I enjoy running marathons; well, I "enjoy" the process of training and being able to see how with hard work I can achieve a goal. My enjoyment of running extends beyond my own efforts, I love helping someone else get active and run their first marathon or start to live a more active life. This passion for movement has lead me to my profession as a physical therapist (PT). I love learning about the human body and it's function. That is why I love the physical therapy profession. The human body is intriguing, the way the body can adapt to different loads and stresses is inspiring. More than my passion for exercise and physical therapy is my passion and love I have for my family. My wife and I have been married for almost 7 years, and I am madly in love with her. We have been blessed with 2 children, one beautiful little girl and one handsome little boy. Being a Dad makes me happy. It is one of my favorite feelings when I am able to play with my kids and they giggle and laugh- it truly is priceless. I am generally a happy guy and love to experience life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my life! The gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to love my life. Because I am a mormon I have gained a perspective on life that helps me see purpose to why I am here on earth and what I can become. Since I was young I have been able to test the principles of the gospel, and I always find that they are true. I know that God lives, He has set up a church that helps me use Him in my life. I have experiences where the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me the truth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Because I know it is true I am blessed to have the guidance of prophets and apostles in my life. These men speak with Heavenly Father and teach me things that I need to know in my life, and help me to change and become better. They give me examples on what I can do to better know Jesus Christ personally. I love being a mormon because the teachings support and guide my family. Everything the church teaches is to strengthen the family, and God has set up little organizations within the church to help strengthen the family unit. Being a mormon has enriched my relationship with my wife. We are able to have our marriage strengthened by God. I love my life, and I love being a mormon!

How I live my faith

On a personal level I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Jesus each day. I try to have regular scripture study and personal prayer. I attend church every Sunday where I can listen to teachers and participate in lessons by asking questions and making comments. With my family we try to have family prayer and scripture study. We also follow the guidance of the prophet by setting aside Monday night every week to get together and have family time where we enjoy each other's company and have a gospel message. As a church there are times when we have a group service project to serve the community or a family in need. I also get to go and visit members of the ward in their homes to see how they are doing, if they need any help, and leave a gospel message. There are multiple ways that I can live my faith. And that is why it is not just a religion to me, but it is a way of life that has truly blessed me and my family.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

I love going to the temple. Every time I go to the temple I leave with a renewed feeling of strength and courage that I can continue to choose the right. The temple is a sacred place and many holy ceremonies take place there. Because it is such a holy place with so many special things taking place, God has set some requirements for people who attend the temple to help maintain it's sacredness. Families are sealed for time and all eternity in the temple, so that after this earth life they can be together forever. All people are able to visit the temple grounds and walk around the outside of the temple; and they can feel the beautiful spirit there. However, God wants everyone to go inside the temple to obtain the blessings that come from the temple and live in happiness forever. He yearns for everyone to meet the requirements He has set and come and attend the temple. I promise that it is worth all of the effort that is required to meet God's standards to enter His house.
