Hi I'm Rex Hamblin

I am proud to be from a small town in Arizona and love to let people know it! Oh ya, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing football, but even more, I love to play the stand-up bass. Although I'm definitely NOT musically inclined, it really gets to me. I grew up in Eagar, Arizona (just about the best place in the world). I have been extremely blessed because I have grown up near my family. I like to go on hikes and spend time in the mountains near my home. The fresh air, the open spaces, and the wildlife... there is absolutely nothing better in the entire world! I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in THE Washington Vancouver Mission, and enjoying every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because it was something I was born into, but something I have come to love. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and for the gospel of Christ. I have always been a member, and not serving a mission has never been an option. I know that Christ lived for me and atoned for my sins. That's why I'm a Mormon. The hope. The peace. The comfort this gospel brings is something that everyone has a right to know. Without this gospel in my life, I would be lost. Through this gospel I know that everything in this life "...worketh for us far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). The opportunity for eternal progression is a goal that I can work toward. I know Christ lived, and know that he lives. If I know this, what else matters?

How I live my faith

The best way to live my faith is by ... living my faith. I have a goal to live in such a way that when I leave people, they KNOW that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I try my very best to show this by example, doing what is right, remembering that I bare the name of Christ in everything I do. I study and ponder the scriptures for two hours every morning. I then have the opportunity everyday to go out and share the message of the gospel that I love. I love doing service projects for others, whether they be of our faith or not. I try to live in such a way that I bring others to Christ through my actions.
