Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up in Utah but now live in Arizona. I have a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as the middle of five boys in Utah. Having that many brothers and no girls in my family made me quite a sports lover. My early days were spent with my brothers in the front yard either playing basketball or football. In the winter I loved to go to the local ski resorts and snowboard with my friends. I served a mission in the deserts of Mexico where I learned Spanish, along with a love of spicy food. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 7 years now and this year we brought a beautiful blue-eyed little girl into our lives. I recently finished my education with a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from Arizona State University and recently started a business. I love spending time with my family. We will often leash up our white lab Nacho, and head out for an early evening walk to the park to throw the ball. We also enjoy hiking, boating, camping and even just being together at home.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me from a young age to be a good member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up attending church and activities every week. I remember when I was in Primary I loved to sing. My favorite song to sing was "I believe in being Honest". When I was 16 years old my oldest brother suffered a massive stroke. Doctors were not optimistic about his recovery. I remember my father laid his hands upon my brother's head and gave him a Priesthood blessing. I had never felt the spirit so strong in my life. Two weeks later my brother left the hospital, having fully recovered. From that moment, I never questioned the truthfulness of the gospel again. My testimony was becoming stronger everyday. I promised my Heavenly Father that I would do my best to take that good feeling that I had to others. A few years later I was privileged to serve a mission to Mexico for two years. I saw many miracles and was an instrument in bringing others to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and know that He lives.

How I live my faith

I was recently asked to help keep track of the members of my congregation as a clerk. I try to keep track of who moves in and out of the bounderies of our particular ward or congregation. I love to help in this capacity because it allows me to get to know all of the people I go to church with. I also have the opportunity to visit with two families from my ward every month. I enjoy sharing spiritual thoughts with them and helping them with anything they need. Every winter, a group of us guys get together and play basketball against teams from other wards. We really enjoy getting together to enjoy good sportsmanship and good competition. Our team is also pretty good. Last year we finished in the top four. Hopefully this year we will finish even higher! I love being part of the church both for the love I have for the Savior, as well as the bond I feel with fellow members of the church
