Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a student. Future Missionary. I'm Mormon

About Me

Hi! I'm Tyler. I'm a new student at Brigham Young University. I am trying to figure out what I want to study here. I love music and am a proud member of the BYU Men's Chorus. I love to play my guitar and sing and have a passion for singing in choirs. I am the youngest in my wonderful family. I am preparing to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I have my mission call to the Argentina Comodoro Rivadavia Mission and I report May 21st.

Why I am a Mormon

I started my faith as a Mormon because my parents are both Mormon and I was born into a Mormon family. For a long time while I was growing up I had always just accepted the gospel because it was all I ever had known. My senior year in high school I decided that I needed to know if the church was right for me. I read and studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon and prayed to God to know if what I had read was true. I had a special experience and I know that the gospel taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I love the gospel and want to share the happiness it brings me.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my church ward here at BYU and love going to church every Sunday. I have been called as the Executive Secretary. My responsibilities in this calling are to schedule appointments with the Bishop of my ward, attend meetings each week, and assist the bishop of my ward in any way possible. I am also a home teacher to several people. As a home teacher I will visit each of these people and visit with them at least once a month. I try to get to know them and help them if they are ever in need. By doing this I have become great friends with these individuals.
