Hi I'm Thi

I am Vietnamese and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an electrical engineer. I like to watch soccer and college basketball. I am a Sounders and Zags fan

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Vietnam where religion was not exactly a freedom. I had very little knowledge about Christianity until I came to the U.S.A. My girlfriend who I met in college introduced me to the church. I was very impressed with the church programs and teachings so I liked to learn more, and soon become a member. I have married to my wife who was my girlfriend at the time I joined the church. We have three wonderful children and we love them so very much. I have a strong testimony of the church. The church has taught me the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is the savior of mankind and through his Atonement we can repent of all our sins and be forgiven. I always want to become a better husband, a father and a good citizen because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

How I live my faith

I love to go to Church on Sunday where I can learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love to have family scripture study with my wife and our children so we can all learn and growth together in the Gospel. I love to participate in Church activities for family such as: church campout, church Christmas party, father and son campout, and etc... I am actively involved in visiting church members and others in the area via church' s program such as home teaching program and missionary program. I also look for opportunities to participate in community service projects.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We are followers of Jesus Christ and his examples. We are baptized by someone who has God’s priesthood authority for the remission of sins. (Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16). We are also baptized to become members of the Church of Jesus Christ, and to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5). Jesus Christ taught that we must be baptized by immersion (Mark 16:16; 3 Nephi 11:21-26). He set the example Himself by being baptized to “fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15). In whom should we have faith?

We believe in God the eternal Father in his Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

I believe that both mother and father have a necessary and important role in the family and in the lives of their children. Children are a wonderful blessing, the scripture says: "Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalms 127:3) In the Home that children can grow mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, requires faith and the best efforts of the parents working together.
