Hi I'm Alaina.

I'm a mother of 3 and a preschool teacher. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've had the best of both worlds as a career woman climbing the corporate ladder to a stay at home mom who now owns a business in the preschool world. I love working with children and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It allows me to be at home with my children too. I love spending time with my husband and my kids. We live in the Pacific Northwest where it is simply beautiful when the sun does shine. It makes me so grateful for sunny days and I never take them for granted.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that the gospel is true in this church. I know that there are a lot of good churches out there but pieces lack in so many of them. In the LDS church, all those pieces come together and life completely makes sense. There is a plan for each and everyone of us. We are all here for a purpose. I know this purpose through Heavenly Father's plan. I can't imagine not knowing his plan for me. Being a mormon has blessed my life in more ways that I can ever imagine. Everything in life always works out and I am proud to be a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example everyday of my life. I've served in my church over the years countless hours with children, youth and sisters there. My church has the strongest sister-hood of any organization that I've ever known. I am so happy to be associated with in my opinion, the finest people that I know and people that would do anything to help someone else. Yep, it's true! As a Mormon, I don't drink alcohol, smoke or allow any harmful substances into my body. I strive to be very clean and modest as an individual. Values and morals are extremely important in our church. We strive to teach our children everyday about choices in life. We want our kids to be prepared when faced with temptation in today's society. Often times, you will see a fellow Mormon child or adult wearing a "CTR" ring. This stands for Choose the Right. It is a simple reminder that when faced with adversity to make the right choice. My family holds family night once a week on Monday night. Family prayer and reading the scriptures is also very important to us. Church isn't optional but rather something that we attend every single Sunday for 3 hours. Going to church is a highlight for my children every week. I can't imagine life without it!

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Alaina.
People everywhere are faced with different obstacles in their lives. Some of these obstacles are more significant than others. Often, they will begin to search and wonder how to find answers to things in life. When the searching begins, it will lead them to wondering about the plan of happiness and the purpose of life. They begin to ask friends, some of whom may be Mormon. They too want that happiness and will want to learn further about the LDS church. Our church has members all over the world to assist people with questions and answers. We also typically have over 50,000 missionaries serving all over the world to answer questions to those who have them. These can be young men and women, married couples or even single individuals devoting years of their life to teaching and proclaiming the gospel to those that need it. These missionaries are inspiring and definetely attribute along with the current members to the growth of our church. Show more Show less
