Hi I'm Jean

I was born and raised in Arizona. My husband and I just celebrated our 44th anniversary. My family is my treasure. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 44 years and my husband and I have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. My favorite times are family get-togethers. I like to cook, bake and share the bounties that come from it. I love being around people. I enjoy doing genealogy research and have been working on my family history for 30 years. I love to travel and sometimes feel I must be part "gypsy!".

Why I am a Mormon

I give all credit to my Mother for my activity in the gospel. It was her influence that lead me to where I am today. My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has come to mean everything to me. It has encouraged such faith and hope that I never knew I had. It has given me so many opportunities to grow and serve. Everything good in me I owe to my Savior and His gospel. I know I will see my Heavenly Father and my Savior someday. What a glorious day it will be.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have the amazing opportunity to serve in a young single adult ward on a university campus. We will serve there for 3 years. At first, I felt as though I didn't belong, what could I offer these young adults, I am a Grandmother, they are college students. What could we have in common? I soon learned we had much in common; testimonies, love of Jesus Christ, working out life's struggles, holding on tight to the promises of the gospel. I love my calling and love the youth we have come to know. Once again I see the Lord's hand in my life and why I am where I am.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God has always chosen prophets to live on the earth to guide His children. It is no different today. We need more guidance today than ever before. Heavenly Father wants to direct us through these troubled times and He continues to do so with His prophets. Thomas S. Monson is God's chosen prophet today. Show more Show less
