Hi I'm Doreen

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Kansas. I'm a wife, mother, grandmother and a school teacher.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. I have an amazng husband and we have four beautiful children and they have blessed us with five adorable grandchildren. We love spending time together as a family. My husband and I enjoy running and biking together. I've been teaching young children for many years and really enjoy my profession, but I love being a wife, mother and grandmother most of all.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Catholic/Christian home where I developed a great love for the Savior. When I was 11, I moved to Arizona and there were several of my classmates who were Mormon who quickly became my friends. Through the years, my friends shared their beliefs with me and in my late teens I started to study the beliefs of the church and found out for myself that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth I was looking for. I am so thankful for the Holy Scriptures – the Bible and Book of Mormon. They both testify of the Savior and His atoning sacrifice and I love reading from the daily and gaining strength and direction for my life. I know the Lord is mindful of me and I feel His loving and guiding hand daily helping me in my life. I love my Savior and know that He loves me despite my weaknesses and shortcomings. I know because of His atonement that we will be able to be with Him again. I love the peace and happiness I feel by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve in the women's organization in my church. Our organization is instrumental in helping those of our congregation and neighborhood who have needs because of illness, family trauma and those less fortunate.
