Hi I'm Brad

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Huntsville, Utah . I served an LDS mission to Australia, and married my sweetheart Dixie Lee.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in northern Utah in the1950's and 60's. My father was the sheriff and mom was the Postmaster. I was the oldest of five children, and was taught to work hard on our small farm. We raised livestock and rainbow trout. Hauling hay with dad on his semi-truck, I learned to operate machinery at a young age. School was exciting and it also got me out of manual labor for a few hours each day. I loved sports and played on the school baseball and basketball teams as well as the church basketball team. I enrolled at Weber State college after high school, but left before my first year was completed, to serve a two year church mission in Australia. It was my first airplane ride and an exciting adventure. I loved Australia and the people there were so friendly to us American blokes. Teaching the restored gospel to those who would listen was a wonderful priveledge and very fulfilling to see the lives of those who accepted it change for the better.

Why I am a Mormon

Teaching the gospel with the guidance of the Holy Ghost was testimony building for me. My mother had always taught us to be honest, good citizens, however I didn't have a strong testimony of the restoration of the gospel until reading the scriptures, teaching daily and prayers to my Heavenly Father gave me confirmation that what I was doing was the Lords will and plan for me.

How I live my faith

The church is a major part of our lives. My wife and I serve as councilors in the Young Single Adult Ward. My calling is to assist the Bishop of our ward in the operation and teaching of our members who are between the ages of 18 and 30. We think that this is one of the best callings in the church, and enjoy being with these sweet single members. We enjoy the added activities and being able to see the lives of the young people influence those who are interested in knowing why they are so happy serving the Lord. I also enjoy my job as a sales trainer for a large auto dealership. This job allows me to teach honest principals in the work place and be an example of how a Mormon should conduct himself in the business community. As of Sept. of 2012 we have been recalled to serve in the Bishopric of our family ward. Although we miss the relative quiet of the YSA ward, we are happy to be serving with the youth and families that live in our neighborhood.
