Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a basketball and volleyball playing mama of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary education major and an athlete who uses all of the skills that I have learned throughout my life to raise my beautiful four children (and husband!). I love to play basketball, volleyball, softball, and kickball. I enjoy running, walking, biking, lifting weights, and doing the Insanity workouts. My hobbies are playing with my children, being with my husband, digital scrapbooking, hanging out with my friends, throwing parties and entertaining, cooking, and eating! I am blessed to be married to the most AMAZING man who works so hard so that I have the privilege to stay at home with my children and learn with them every day. I love life and all the experience that it provides me each and every day even those days that are hard and trying!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born into this faith. However, as I have grown and gone through many life experiences, I have developed a testimony of this wonderful gospel and have truly been converted to its teachings and principles. My life has been greatly blessed as I obey the commandments and keep the covenants that I have made and my life has been trying and confusing when I have not done these things. I cannot put into words the joy and happiness that I feel as I live the gospel, hold fast to my standards, and strive to do the work that my Heavenly Father needs me to do. Living the gospel does not restrict or hold me back from enjoying life, on the contrary, it makes me free and gives me the strength and confidence to do things that I never knew I could do. I feel the presence of my Savior constantly in my life and I know that he lives and loves me more than I can comprehend. How humbling it is to know that he died for me so that I can live with him and my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day through my associations with others and my actions. I try to be a good example of the Savior and exemplify his charity for others. I am very involved in my community, school, and neighborhood. I am always looking for opportunities to meet knew people and try to influence them in a positive way. I love to teach and am able to teach a class about the New Testament in my ward. I love the opportunity I have to create discussion about the scriptures and bear testimony about the truthfulness of the words of our Savior and his prophets. I also love the opportunity that I have to teach and form relationships with the members in my ward. I am so blessed through the opportunities that I have to work and serve in the church.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Rachel
The best way to know if Mormonism is true is to seek and ye shall find. Read the book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. Let the spirit testify. Talk to someone you know is Mormon, attend a church service, and speak with the missionaries. If you have a true desire to know, I know you will find your answer. Show more Show less
