Hi I'm Eric

I am a Commodity Manager. Adoptive father of two boys. Enjoy hiking with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and family. We adopted our two boys through foster care a few years ago. Going from no kids to two high energy boys instantaneously has been an experience. I enjoy doing a lot of activities with my family-hiking, camping, playing board games.

Why I am a Mormon

While I have been a member all my life, I have developed my own firm belief in the doctrines and teachings of the LDS church through try-testing the principles that are taught. My try-testing started when I was 16 years old and needed to know for myself if what my parents and others were saying were true. So I decided to do as the scriptures say and ask in prayer. While I did not receive a vision or hear a voice, after my prayer I felt peace and knew that what I was being taught by my parents was true. Since that experience, I have received countless other witnesses that this is church that I should be in.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I currently teach the 17 and 18 year olds every Sunday. It is a great experience to learn more form the scriptures as I prepare my weekly lessons. The youth today have so many different challenges and experiences and I enjoy showing my class how they can find answers to their problems through the scriptures and prayer. We have a great time together!
