Hi I'm Jack W.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello my name is Jack. I was born and raised in Charlotte NC. My parents found the church when I was three. I served my mission in Sacramento California teaching in Spanish. I learned to love the Latino culture and the experience changed my life. I learned to value hard workers, I learned to love extended family. When I returned home I began working for a Non- Profit Housing Counseling agency. I find my work very fulfilling and enjoyable. I married the love of my life who supports me in my most important endeavors. She is my anchor and center. We have two wonderful children that keep us on our toes and ensure that we are on the right track.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father loves his children. From the beginning he has always called Prophets to communicate with us his will. He has given those Prophets authority to act in his name, that authority is called the Priesthood. With the Priesthood, men and women are able to have the opportunity to enter into covenants with our Heavenly Father by preforming certain ordinances. I know that when I was baptized I was baptized by someone who had authority to perform that ordinance just as Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. I know that as I make and keep these covenants I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God. I have prayed about it and the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that he is. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true record of Prophets called of God. It was translated by a Prophet of God. I know this because I have applied the teachings found there in to my life, it has been all the more sweeter. I know that Jesus is the Christ, with out his Atonement the ability for me to return to my Father in Heaven clean and blameless is impossible. I know this to be true because I have felt the confirming whisper of the Holy Ghost testifying of the truthfulness of these things.

How I live my faith

Our home is a home of encouragement, we strive for excellence and endeavor to do good among our fellow men. We make humanity our career, we struggle for equal rights knowing that it will make us all the more better. We happen to life rather then allowing life to happen to us, making us all the more grateful for our current disposition, rather then being grateful for what we have. We serve others in our callings seeking out opportunities to share the gospel and lifting up those that are down. We smile. We laugh. We love one another.
