Hi I'm Megan

I live in Arizona. I'm the lucky mother of 2 boys and wife of a hardworking engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mommy of two boys and spend much of my time changing sheets, wiping up spit up, changing diapers, playing tickle monster, reading bedtime stories, and making cookies with my two-year old. I married my handsome, hardworking, loving husband four years ago. I graduated with a degree in elementary education and taught 2nd grade for two years before having our first child. I love watching my oldest son start to recognize letters on signs and in books. It must be the teacher in me. I love playing the piano and creating music. I love holidays and all things Christmasy. My family will tell you that I start asking what they want for Christmas in August. I love shopping for gifts and live for "Black Friday" shopping the day after Thanksgiving. This girl can't pass up a good bargain!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true, restored church of God. I know this by the witness of the Holy Ghost that bears testimony of the truth as I study and pray about principles of the Gospel. I was raised by wonderful parents who taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I have grown up and had my own experiences, my own testimony of my Savior has developed and given me strength. Life is hard sometimes, but the peace that comes to my heart as I live the Gospel gives me hope and sustains me. I am a Mormon because we focus on families, my most precious possession, and know that families can be together forever. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work with the youth in our church. I get to teach lessons on Sunday and plan weekly activities for the 14 and 15 year old young women. It is amazing how much I learn as I prepare lessons to teach these youth. Often times I feel like I learn more from these vibrant girls and the courage they have to stand for what they know is right in a world where many morals are crumbling. I feel that living my faith is something I do each day, not just on Sundays. I live my faith by loving my family, serving them, teaching my children to be good people, being a good neighbor and friend, and working together with my husband to create a peaceful and loving home for my family. I live my faith by turning to the Lord in prayer and relying on His arm to guide my life. I live my faith by smiling, working hard, and enjoying the good life I have been blessed with.
