Hi I'm William Kishbaugh

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I'm Bill, I am 78 years old and I am blessed with relativly good health and soundness of mind. I grew up in a small mining town in South-Central Arizona. I left home at the young age of 17 years and joined the US Navy, serving my country in that capacity for 8 years. I also served as a Deputy Sheriff in California and Arizona for several years. I concluded my working career as an Industrial Hygienist, working in the copper mining industry for 25 years. My wife and I have been married for 54 years and we have three children, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We have a large family, all of which live close by and we share a lot of love for each other. I am now retired and we live a rural lifestyle on our small "rancho" in the rugged desert mountains of Arizona. I am interested in cooking, oil painting, writing, poetry, gardening and I even raise a few chickens. Church also plays a major role in our daily lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the Mormon faith 48 years ago, having been a member of the Methodist faith since childhood. I am a Mormon because the Holy Spirit testified to me that the Gospel of Jesus Christ , in it's original and unadulterated purity, was revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that he received direct revelations by the hand and will of God, for the benefit of those who would humble themselves , in seeking out the truth. I know that Joseph Smith was an instrument in the Lord's hands! It is because I am a Mormon , that I have gained the knowledge and testimony of these revealed truths. Because I am a Mormon, my life has been blessed in countless ways, as well as have the lives of my family members and loved ones.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying , as a follower of Jesus Christ, to set a good example for my family , friends and neighbors. I attend Church regularly and serve when and wherever I am needed, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recognizes the self-worth of the individual and has given me the opportunity to serve in various capacities. I have served as the Ward Clerk for 25 years and have served in other leadership capacities. I believe in the power of prayer and incorporate prayer into my daily way of life. I also read and contemplate the Holy scriptures regularly. As the Church's 13th Article of Faith states; " If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things" - Joseph Smith
