Hi I'm Olivia

I'm 21 years old, I attend school at ASU and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Senior at Arizona State University, I'm studying Family and Human Development and I love it! When I graduate I want to work with chronically ill children in hospitals as a Child Life Specialist. I love to play tennis and badminton, especially now because I recently broke both of my ankles. At the same time. They are healing quite nicely and now I can play tennis again! I am very athletic and love doing things out doors. I love anything Disney and everything Christmas! Going to the movies is also a favorite past time of mine. My favorite thing to do however, is hang with my family because I have the best family there has ever been :) We have many great traditions that have made me the person I am today and I love them all!

Why I am a Mormon

I have a very strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is my life, and the only path there is! I was born into the church and have been active all my life. I have many great examples of faithful servants who help me become the person I am. I continue to follow His Gospel because it is true. And I know this. I have come to know this through faith and constant work. When you follow the teachings of the Gospel LIFE IS EASIER. LIFE IS HAPPIER. And LIFE IS ETERNAL through Jesus Christ. The fact that families can be together forever is a key principle in my belief because I could not imagine losing a loved one or even living without having that knowledge. The Savior has sacrificed everything for me and I am so blessed that I know it is my duty to give my life back to him. I have joy in my life everyday because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings, or responsibilities, in the church throughout my life. I have been in leadership positions of the classes for my age groups, have taught the little children in sunday school, and now that I am in the Singles ward, have other more demanding responsibilities. My last calling was to organize gatherings of my ward after church every first and third sunday for something called "Break the Fast" and "Goodies and Greetings". They each require a large amount of food and organization so we can socialize and eat after church. It was a big responsibility but helped me to learn many helpful lessons! I also help with any service projects in my community as I can, including helping the Mayor become elected in the last election and making phone calls to hundreds to promote Prop 102. Serving helps me think less of my worries and problems and allows me to feel grateful for all I have and all that I am capable of.
