Hi I'm Kahiau

I grew up in Tahiti and I now live in Arizona, but I will soon leave for BYU-Hawaii. My whole family are mormons, I'm a mormon.

About Me

My father was converted when he was 16, and my mom was born in the church. They both served an LDS mission-Dad in French Polynesia and Mom in California, Anaheim-. They got married in the Tahiti Temple, and studied in BYU-Hawaii. They have 4 children, and I'm the oldest. I was born in the church, and I'm now 18. I'm living in Gilbert, AZ with my aunt's family, waiting for the winter semester to start. So now, I'm ready and I'm going to leave for BYU-Hawaii! I am so excited to live the gospel everyday over there with people who are sharing the same faith and principles than me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were mormons too so I follow them. But, I have my own testimony. I receive my patriarcal blessing when I was 15 and it help me to grow my testimony. I've been to EFY this year : an program "Especially For Youth". Over there, leaders spoke. They taught us to be an exemple in all times. I know that the Lord lives, He loves us. Prophet Joseph Smith really saw the Savior. I know all these things because I prayed to know it. Growing in the church didn't mean that I would not have any trials, because I did have many struggles in my life, but because I know the plan of salvation, I know that every little things that I'm doing to stay in the right paths are worth it. The Book of Mormon is true. In the name of Jesus- Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

(I'm lucky to live in Tahiti and to be in a high school when i'm not the only one to have principle. So I live my Faith on being a good exemple for others. I try to serve others by helping them for homeworks. Everyday, i'm going at seminary at 5:15 AM. It's really early but this little moment with the Spirit in the beginning of the day make my day joyfully. I play piano at church for the sacrement meeting. I love it.) Now I'm in Gilbert, so it's not the same things, but I still play piano at the primary! To live my faith, I went to institute this semester, I'm doing my prayers every day and night, and I try to be an exemple for others by serving in any way that I can. I'm reading Church's magazines, attending sacrement meeting every week and I read my scriptures. I know that it may take some times but if it's to serve the Lord, I don't mine giving a little bit of my time after all that He did for me.
