Hi I'm Scott

I've lived in southern Arizona my entire life. Hunting, fishing, and raising 5 boys are a big part of who I am. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I have always been an outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking are things that I enjoy. Growing up, my father shared his love of the outdoors with me and taught me some of the lessons of life through these acivities. I carry that tradition on with my own children. I have 5 sons with whom I share my love of the outdoors with. Being a lifetime resident of southern Arizona, I have a love of this great state. I love my country and do all that I can to uphold its constitution, laws, and greatness.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I have always been and always will be a mormon is because I want to be as happy as possible. One of my greatest joys is knowing that we have a Heavenly Father. He is literally our Father! Since this is true, I know that he wants us to be as happy as possible. That is why he give us commandments and guidelines to live by. As we keep these commandments, we will find joy and happiness that only God can give. Being a mormon, I know God's plan for us. I know who we are in relationship to him. I know he cares for each and every person on earth. I have found in the church that being a mormon means being a disciple of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and the only name under Heaven that we can come unto the Father and receive true happiness not only on the earth, but in the eternities to come. True happiness comes from being a son or a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I have a wonderful family that I love with all of my heart. My biggest responsibility other than taking care of myself, is raising a family that is happy and doing what is right. Every day as a family we read the scriptures together and pray together. We try to sit down to eat dinner together every night. As we do these things we become closer. Our love for each other grows. We learn how to be good citizens in our community and try to be good friends to everyone. I also serve in the church. A responsibility I have is to work with the youth (12-18 yr old). I help teach the youth principles to live by that will help them to be the best people that they can be. I try teach them to be good members of their family and good citizens in the community. They also learn how to become future husbands and wives, fathers and mothers. The most important thing I try to teach others is about our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the central figure in our religion. As we learn of Him, we have a desire to be better people. Likewise, as we learn of him, we desire others to know of Him. I try to live my faith by teaching my family, friends, and everyone about who Jesus Christ is. One of the best ways of doing this is by being an example of Christ. I try to say what He would say, do what He would do. As a mormon, I have found real happiness in living my faith.
