Hi I'm Meile

I'm a proud Nebraskan. I'm the oldest of 5 kids. I love choral performance, road trips, holidays and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a Spanish missionary in the California Los Angeles Mission! I love to be a missionary!! After my mission, I will go back to BYU. My three favorite things are choral performance, holiday traditions, and road trips. As a family, we have traveled through each of the 48 continental States and we love to call Nebraska home :)

Why I am a Mormon

I feel my Heavenly Father's love and comfort when I try to live like His son Jesus Christ. I know the priesthood is God's power on earth to preach, to baptize, and to seal families together for eternity. Learning and living the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me great hope and guidance. When I was born, my parents were members of the Church and they have continued to be strong followers of Christ throughout my life. I'm grateful for the solid foundation of religion that has always been part of my life and it has only grown stronger as I try to become a little more like my Savior each day, despite all the weaknesses I have. It is not always easy to do the right thing. This world is full of temptations, challenges, and sorrows. But the Lord says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord thy God with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." In our times of trial or uncertainty, we can trust that the Lord will guide us in His infinite love and wisdom, as long as we choose to follow Him.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving my mission in Los Angeles for 18 months. All day, every day I have the privilege to teach people about the gospel of Jesus Christ, serve in the community, and testify of God's love for each of his children. I am learning Spanish as part of my mission assignment and I love it!

What do Mormons believe about family?

The doctrine of the family is one of my favorite that is taught in the church. We believe that the family unit is designed and ordained by God. Our families are modeled after our Heavenly Father's family with a father, a mother, and children who have the opportunity to serve, love, and teach each other. We believe that families can be eternal and are not ended or torn apart by the death of loved ones. Heavenly Father intends for us to live in harmony with our families eternally. Through the sacred ordinances and priesthood power in God's holy temples, families can be united together forever. I am so grateful that my family will be together for time and all eternity because my parents were sealed in the temple of the Lord. I love my family and it comforts me to know that death can never separate us. I will always have a wonderful father and mother. My brothers and sister will always be my best friends. Someday, I want to have my own family to be eternal and I know that these blessings are ensured through the holy priesthood ordinanaces in the temple. In a world of change and turmoil, the eternal nature of family gives me great comfort and truly shows the compassion of our Heavenly Father for His children. Show more Show less
