Hi I'm Dorothy

I'm a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, I'm a historian, a writer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Nebraska durring the great depression. I was an only child. I was raised in the Lutheran church but went to BYU because I was told there were 10 men to every 1 woman (that wasnt true). However I graduated from there and went on a mission to Samoa. I came back to BYU and THEN found a man. I worked for the government for 20 years. I have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. i have a cat named Callie. I like to read, to needle work, and work as a volunteer.

Why I am a Mormon

Beacause its true! My first Sunday at BYU in the investigators (gospel principals) class I was taught that God had a body of flesh and bone and a spirit like us. That was something I could believe. I was baptized in January.

How I live my faith

I do volunteer work; as an usher for the theater, AIDs walk, Project Angel heart, the Museum of Nature and Science, at the library book sales, and Im a companion to sisters of St. Francis. I am the church historian.
