Hi I'm Judy Starr

I was born in Kittery, MA and spent 3 years in Japan when I was a child. I volunteer at the local food bank and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I walk everyday at least 3 times a day. I volunteer at the local food bank. Indexing and Arbitrating in the Family Search program for the LDS.org site is something I love to do and share and teach when given the chance. I am a single mother and my daughter is going off to university for the first time but as a junior. She received her AA at the local community college.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child, my parents had sent us children to the Baptist church for Sunday school. When I got older, I felt uncomfortable during the sermons with the preacher talking about just the negative aspects of the gospel. So I checked out a nondenominational church. Definitely was not for me. Every church I went to felt like it was missing something. Then I learned about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I knew I was home at last. I finally felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the fullness of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I volunteer at our local food bank twice a week which I find to be especially rewarding. I do most of the computer work and am responsible for all reports to be completed. Still, I know that what I do is important. I indexing and arbitrate as much as I can through our Family Search program. I truly do enjoy it and I wish I had more time to do so.
