Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Husband, a Father of 5, a runner, Project Manager, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to spend time outdoors, whether it is camping, going to the lake, jogging, gardening, playing tennis, bicycling, or hiking. I like to socialize and play games with family and friends. I'm a Project Manager and enjoy working with my coworkers to accomplish challenging assignments. My wife and I have 5 children. 2 are currently in college. 2 of the older boys have earned their Eagle Scout Award and the 3rd one is progressing towards that goal. I went on a 2 year mission to England from 1986-1988.

Why I am a Mormon

At age 16, I felt that their was something missing in my life. I felt there was much more to life than what I was currently experiencing. I was given a copy of the Book of Mormon from my mother earlier that year and decided to start reading it one evening. I felt good inside as I began reading it. It was like pure oxygen to my soul. I read this book for at least an hour that evening and decided that I would continue the next day. I had similar results the next day. As I began to apply the teachings I learned from the Book of Mormon, I noticed that my life improved. The void I previously felt was filled and it felt right. I knew it was right. I began to attend church and learned even more about God's ways that blessed me. Several years later, I knew that I needed to share what I learned with others and went on a mission for 2 years to England to teach the gospel to others. The Church has taught me so much about how to be a better husband and father. I am so grateful that I picked up the Book of Mormon and began reading it that day when I was 16 years old. I don't know where I would be today if I hadn't done so.

How I live my faith

I love the scriptures. Since I was 16 years old, I have read the Book of Mormon almost every day. I am also currently studying the Bible. Our family is currently reading the New Testament together each evening before we go to bed. We enjoy praying together each morning and evening. These things have helped our children remain strong in their faith and have provided a "moral compass" for them as they attend school and associate with their friends. I have served as a bishop in the past and enjoyed associating with the members of our congregation. I currently work with and train local leaders and members of our church.
