Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon, ain't it great?! Alaskan grown, transplanted to WA.

About Me

I am a Mormon, and hindsight has shown me how that fact has helped me many times throughout my life. I grew up most of my early life in Anchorage, until my senior year of High School when I moved with my family to Lacey, Washington. I recently (re-)discovered how essential my family is to my becoming who I want to be. I find myself surprised each time my family teaches me something new and beautiful about life. I definitely consider the home and family life the best place to discover the beauty in humanity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God actually answers prayers. In my pursuit of happiness, truth, understanding, learning, and peace, He has been there. I have been able to look else where for answers, but being Mormon has answered the most questions in the most loving way. I have never been more encouraged to ask questions in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus Christ. He loves us, set an example, and said "Come, follow me," so why not follow Him? Too often in this world, I have found, there are not too many individuals who want us to follow them solely because they love us. I strive to live my faith by trying to see everyone as God's children, and serve them as such. We are all here on earth, and life is hard so that we can learn and grow, but there is no reason we need to struggle alone. We are all here and can help one another. I pray to God, and that is one way that I am able to develop/strengthen faith.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Every orginazation and facet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is structured as to support the family unit. Looking back, I attribute my wonderful childhood to two things. 1-Wonderful parents, beyond compare. 2-The guidance and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Family is Ordained of God. Show more Show less
