Hi I'm Angela

I've lived in Arizona almost my whole life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. My favorite type of books are biographies or historical fiction. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I love to spend time with my family. I love being a mom and I am so grateful for the blessing it is! I love to volunteer at my kids' school so that I can be involved in what they are doing. I want to finish school some day and receive my bachelor's degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. Growing up, I mostly relied on my parents' testimonies, but as I got older I realized I needed a testimony of my own. I began to read my scriptures and pray daily because I wanted to know if what I had been taught my whole life was really true. I can't say that I had one life-changing moment where I knew that the gospel was true, but it was many little things like prayers being answered, feeling comforted when I was sad or worried about something, and receiving guidance and direction for the course my life should take. So, over time and through many experiences I learned that I knew that the gospel was true. Both of my grandparents died this last summer and that was very difficult for me. I miss them every day. I can't express how grateful I am that I have a testimony of the gospel and that I know I will see them again someday. I know that through the blessings of the temple, families can be together forever, and that is such a sweet blessing to me! I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and I love him. I know that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God and that he atoned for my sins, so that I can be forgiven and return to live with Him again someday. I know Joseph Smith restored Christ's true church to the earth and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know that we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who leads and guides Christ's true church. I am so grateful for my testimony. It is who I am, it means everything to me.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a Primary President in our ward, which means I work with children ages 18 months to 11 years old. I LOVE working with children! I enjoy being around them each Sunday as we talk about the gospel. Their enthusiasm and desire to make right choices and to be good examples is so exciting to me. There is no better place to be than with the youth of our church! I have had so many opportunities for learning and growth as I have participated in the "Visiting Teaching" program. Right now I visit two sisters each month to share a message with them about the gospel and to visit with them for a few minutes. It is so wonderful because I get to meet so many incredible different women that I may not get to know as well otherwise.
