Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in California and Colorado. I love to work hard and play hard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old and have finished a year of undergraduate school at BYU after having served two years as a missionary in Phoenix, Arizona for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Now that I am living away from home I recognize how blessed I was to be living in such circumstances and want to create the same for my own family that I hope to start soon. Growing up, I learned the value of work through good teachers at school and spent time serving the community in National Honor Society, Boy Scouts of America, and my local church youth group. I love to hike, garden, and view theatre productions in my spare time. Currently, I work at a call center and on a grounds crew at BYU, so that I can continue my formal education this upcoming year.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it is the restored church that Christ is the head of today. I strive to follow Him continually in my life because I have found real strength and love from Him as I keep His commandments and serve those around me. I know that coming to know Him is a process that requires patience and persistence, but provides direction and peace of mind to my life I could not find elsewhere. I know that revelation from God is available for each of us personally. It is also available for the church as a whole to be directed line upon line, so that we may not feel lost in this world. The prophet today, President Monson, has taught me that prayer is the passport to peace and that success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal, both of which I know to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught in the Book of Mormon and the Bible, two separate records of His teachings through prophets' words and His personal ministry on the earth. Sincere prayer and scripture study helps me to keep my relationship with God active every day. Serving people at work, home, or in the community helps me to develop lasting relationships in which I can apply principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Savior teaches me through His example how I can live with greater joy and love.
