Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a wife and mother of two. I'm an attorney. I'm a cancer survivor. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In 1986, I was diagnosed with an advanced form of cancer. My doctors did their best, but about a month later, they sent me home with little hope for my survival. Every day since then, I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for preserving me and allowing me to receive an education, work in an interesting and fulfilling field, and, now, be a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home, but, like everyone else, I have to make my own decisions about what I believe. I choose to be Mormon everyday. I am committed to the gospel because it teaches dedication to a loving Heavenly Father and a selfless Savior, who atoned for the world. I love that the gospel teaches happiness and hard work. I appreciate a gospel that emphasizes a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father who loves me and wants what's best for me. I love the gospel for offering me an eternal life with my family, so long as I keep the commandments. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy, helps me understand my life in an eternal perspective, and allows me to have a personal and loving relationship with my Savior.

How I live my faith

Because I love that the gospel brings me happiness, I try to show that happiness in my day-to-day life. I try to follow the Lord's command to "be of good cheer" (Matt. 14:27).
