Hi I'm Devin

I was born & raised in Washington state. I love outdoor adventures, music & playing the drums is my passion. P.S. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, and a best friend to any one. I enjoy building things and working with my hands. I love listening to music, and being creative. I like older cars, and working on the ones I have. I like video games in the way they connect people together. I am currently serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been a Boy Scout, I've worked in construction, I've been a handy-man, and I've been a teacher. I love to see things from high points, hence the fact that I love to hike and climb. I love music and art and the many ways that one can express themselves through that. At the same time I enjoy hard work of any kind. I enjoy participating in sports more than simply watching them. I believe that God guides our path. I believe that eating pizza for breakfast is okay, and cake and ice-cream for dinner. I believe the best way to get to know someone is to serve with them. I believe it's okay to play the drums for two hours straight. I feel that one of the most important things to have in life is a sense of humor. True laughter can heal so many things.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was born, my parents joined the church. This came about because of some friends they have that are mormon. Growing up my mom always had strong faith. I understand why she had such strong faith because I find my faith grows the more I read and study the scriptures. I'm a mormon because I know that it's true. The real healing comes through sincere repentance, and through seeking forgiveness from God. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all mankind maybe saved. I feel with all my heart and soul that God loves each one of us. If you want to know the truth, "ask and ye shall receive". If you want to an answer, "seek and ye shall find". If you want to live with God again, "knock and it shall be opened unto you".

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I would go with the missionaries to teach people about the Gospel. It was great to see people come to understand what our Heavenly Father's plan is, and how important Jesus Christ is in our lives. Whenever I can, I will serve others. Whether they need help moving, or some work around their home. When you serve others, you are serving God. I strive to live by the commandment, "Love thy neighbor as thyself."

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christians! There are plenty of reasons why the church bears His name. One of those is that we follow Jesus Christ and strive to live His Gospel. We mean it literally when we say that we are Latter-Day Saints. Show more Show less
