Hi I'm Marc

I'm a Mormon, and have been a Mormon all my life. Next to God, my family is the most important part of my life.

About Me

I enjoy being around people, but also find it important to spend time by myself, thinking about important parts of life. I find my greatest happiness when I am doing something for someone else. I think there are good people everywhere, and I like learning about people. I have learned that judging other people is not good, as I rarely have all the facts.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up in the Mormon Church, like any other young adult, I found myself challenging some of the things I was hearing from my parents and church. I thought that being a Mormon was hard - too many rules. It wasn't until I got on my knees and earnestly prayed for direction, that I really understood the gospel and His plan for me. I love the Saviour, and grateful that He willingly paid the price for my sins.

How I live my faith

I like the plan that as a Mormon we are expected to serve others. Service makes me happy. Currently, I am responsible to visit about 10 families every month and see to their needs, and letting them know that God loves them. I am also the current bishop (priest/minister) for our local church, and have been so for about 5 years. This means I spend about 20 hours a week working with youth of all ages and families in the local church. I learn so much from people around me, and am amazed at the dedication and faith I see in others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course! Mormons believe in Christ in a very real sense. We believe HE truly is the son of God, that He came to earth, lived as a man, and died for our sins. We believe He freely forgives us of our sins. We believe He set the example for us while He was on earth, and expects us to do our best. And, because He loves us, He knows that we will make mistakes and fall short of being sinless as He was. Because of His love for me, He suffered, bled, and died, and then rose again after three days. His suffering allows me to be clean from my sins and one day return to live with Him and His Father. At that day, I will wash His feet with my grateful tears. Show more Show less
