Hi I'm Bob

I was born of goodly parents. I grew up in Sunny Southern California. I am enjoying life with my family in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son. I am a husband. I am a father of 2 adult children. I am blessed to be employed in a job a love. I try not to take this life too seriously. I try to find the humor in all things. I look for the good in all people. I do my best not to be judgmental. I enjoy writing songs inspired by events in life or just by divine inspiration. I enjoy a good baseball game weather my team wins or not. I have to be honest, I do prefer my favorite team to win. I believe that the principles that built this country were divinely inspired.

Why I am a Mormon

My journey began in 1988 when in a span of a week, I lost my Grandfather, a Friend to illness and a Friend to suicide. It was at that point i started asking the questions. What is life all about. Are we born just to die. IS life really worth living? Why am I here? All questions I had no answers to. I was raised and married in the Catholic Church but had fallen away from it. I was pretty lost. My wife was an inactive Mormon at the time. I always avoided the home teachers and missionaries that would visit her. I had a preconception that Mormon's were, for lack of a better word, weird. in 1994 things in our family were at a boiling point. My wife approached me and didn't ask but told me she was going back to Church and was taking the children with her. And that I am welcome to join them. There was no resistance. I was led by the Spirit to accept her invitation. I went to Church that first Sunday with an open heart and mind. I was immediately approached by the Missionaries. They invited me to take the lessons. I gladly accepted that invitation. I was baptized i and confirmed on October 27, 1994. It was a glorious day. I also received the Priesthood that day and was able to baptize my daughter the same day. I know the sacred writings in Book of Mormon are true. I know Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of our Heavenly Father. And that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that Jesus Lives. I know he suffered and took on all the sins of the world. I know there is a plan for each and every one of us to return back to the presence of our Heavenly Father. I also know that it is only possible through faith and repentance. This is my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

This Church is a working Church. I just don't go to church every Sunday to listen to a preacher's message. This is a Church of service. I have a calling in my Ward . This Church is divinely organized. I am there to support and lift those who need lifting. I move people in. I move people out. I provide service to those who are in need of it.I am a teacher. I visit and teach our members in there homes whether they are active or inactive. I have the opportunity to speak and give talks and teach our Ward Family at our Sunday service. I proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am missionaries. I support the full time missionaries in their efforts. So in other words, I am just like every other member of this Church. I'm A Mormon!
