Hi I'm Brent

I'm a husband and father of 6 children who are all grown. I've served in the Boy Scout Program for decades and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Although I've been in sales most of my career I do enjoy creating and making things with my hands too. Building and creating things from wood, metal and even cardboard is fun. My wife and I recently built a new home and enjoyed every minute of it. While nearing retirement I still receive great pleasure in serving and helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

I served a church mission in Florida in the early 1970's and as I studied the scriptures daily, I finally understood the plan of God for me. The scriptures taught me what God wanted for me and intended for all his children throughout the world. Through the scriptures I developed a firm belief and testimony that God spoke through prophets anciently and because He loves us He speaks through prophets today as well. God, in a miraculous way, has given us the scriptures in the Bible. He has also given us additional scriptures through other ancient propets as well in the Book of Mormon. He has not stopped counseling us, He has not stopped speaking to us and He has not stopped loving us.

How I live my faith

I've served in local congregations where I've lived in the church for the past 35 years. It has been a real blessing to have worked with mainly young men and young women, ages 12-18 for most of that time. I can truly say I love that age group as they begin to take stock of why they are here on earth, where they came from and where they are going in this life and the life to come. It is so satisfying to know your purpose and find happiness and peace of mind.
