Hi I'm Donna

I love being a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children. I get to stay home with them, and work on personal projects all at the same time. My favorite things to do are watch my kids develop their talents. My oldest son was the pep band leader in his high school. He has a natural gift for music. He plays the piano by ear and has composed dozens of original songs. He recently returned from a mission in Honduras. My daughter is not only beautiful but she plays the flute like an angel. I love listening to her practice and perform. She is in college right now and is enjoying her new found freedoms there. My next son has always been my most quiet and yet most observant child. He has come in to his own with computer programming. He started programming in the 7th grade he is now a senior in high school. There is almost nothing that he can't figure out. My next son, is our athlete. There is always a ball in his hands! We go to his games almost year round. He loves the competition, the exercise, the teammates, the after-game snacks, he loves it all. We enjoy watching him! There is always a smile on his face when he is playing hard! My last son is the cuddliest child of them all. How lucky for me. He loves to read with me, watch movies with me and sit by me. To know me is to know that I have a very busy family life and I love my kids. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been the very best of friends for 28 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I try to only do things that make me happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me more happiness and joy than any other thing available in this life, that includes my husband and children. My membership in the church amplifies every good thing I do. The gospel teaches me how to be a better wife and mother. Through the gospel I have learned how much my Heavenly Father and Jesus love me. I know that it is only through sacred covenants that I can return to Him with my family. I really really want to spend eternity with my family and my extended family. I know that families can be together forever. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I went to BYU, and as you drive up onto campus there is a sign that says "Enter to Learn . . . Go forth to Serve." That is what I have done. I earned my degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, I immediately accepted a call to serve and teach in the children's Sunday school program "Primary". I have almost always had some teaching position in the church. I have taught the adult Sunday school Class with over 100 people, that was a bit scary. Then I moved on to a daily early morning (6am) seminary class of 22 kids ages 16-17. I have always enjoyed working in the church. I try to exemplify the things I believe wherever I go.
