Hi I'm Barb

I grew up in Arizona. I love my state. I love my family and I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the sunshine and working and playing with my family. I love being a mom and seeing my children grow and become wonderful people. I love being a grandma and seeing my grandchild grow more every time I see her. I love life and creating things with my hands. I love scrap booking, drawing, cake decorating, baking, sewing, and I'm still learning how to do more things all the time. I love reading all kinds of books. I love life and I'm happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior and His gospel. It brings me so much peace and calm in my life. It gives me courage to try new things and stretch myself. It gives me a knowledge of who I am. It tells me of my potential to become like my Savior. It helps me face the future with confidence that all will be well if I exercise my faith in Christ. I love knowing I can have my husband and my children with me always and forever. I love knowing that I have a Heavenly Father and elder brother who knows me personally and cares about my hopes, my dreams, my thoughts. I can pray and receive answers to all of my life's questions. I can be happy and at peace with the gospel knowledge that I have now and that I continue to learn.

How I live my faith

I love serving people and the church gives me many opportunities to do that. I get to visit wonderful sisters each month as a visiting teacher. I get to work with the young women in my ward: we have weekly fun activities, combined activities with the young men, and service projects to help the community. We have can food drives, carol to a retirement home, make goodies and deliver to our neighbors. I get a lot of joy in seeing the young women learn something new like making a quilt, making a craft, or learning how to make a yummy treat. If I'm teaching someone how to make something and they are learning something new, then I am happy and life is good. The Savior was always helping and serving others and if I am doing that, then I am becoming like Him and learning from His example. When I am serving I am happy. And that make my life sweet. I try to be kind to everyone around me and notice their needs. I try to smile at everyone I see. I try to be a positive influence to everyone around me. I try to say thank you all the time and show gratitude for everything. I try to make time for people and never be in too much of a hurry. Life is too short, so I try to make every minute count.
