Hi I'm Michael Soto

I'm a son, brother, graduate student, dog owner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just started my graduate education, in Justice Studies. I'm looking forward to law school afterward. I am amazed by the calmness, focus and determination that I find when I read the scriptures daily. The joy that the Book of Mormon brings to my life is amazing. I am happy to have found my faith and to have a testimony the Jesus Christ is my savior and that this Church is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the Church. The Church and my family (through the Church) taught me what it means to be a good man, a good person and how to put service first in my life. I'm a Mormon because the gospel is a blessing in my life and I know it will be in yours too.

How I live my faith

I think that living my faith is about practice, patience and action. I do my best to give to others, to do the right thing and to be a good man. I think that living my faith, in this day and age, makes me stand out and some even find it surprising that I have faith (I'm sure this is a common experience). But my faith is a huge part of who I am and how I approach life.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Michael Soto
The Bible is of course a wonderful and amazing gospel. What's really great is that we also have the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. The Restoration of the Gospel is a true blessing. Joseph Smith was called to bring back God's true Church to this Earth and now because of that, we all have the opportunity to know the truth, to be baptized into the Church, the power of the Priesthood has been restored, and we have once again can know the fullness of the Gospel.
