Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a father of three, a huge Nebraska Cornhusker fan, and an HR Manager.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I currently live in Lincoln, NE (Go Huskers!) with my wife and three children. I enjoy being active as much as possible in such things as basketball, softball, golf, etc. I also just recently took up running and completed a half-marathon earlier this year. All of these activities have allowed me the opportunity to meet others with common interests and to create new friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe we are all placed on this Earth at the appropriate time and am fortunate to have parents that were already members when I was born. I made the decision to be baptized at the age of eight. I am grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost and the guidance it offers me in my life. I have also been fortunate to meet my wife while attending Church and we have the opportunity to be together for all eternity. That is perhaps one of the most important reasons I am a Mormon. Growing up as a youth, and even still today, I somewhat enjoy the 'unique' feeling I get when discussing my faith with others. I love the questions and interest others have about this religion. Many times they find out that it isn't all that different and that much of what they have heard is inaccurate or they gain a better understanding of why the way I am.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example that my brother Jesus Christ has demonstrated and strive to set a good example for others. I have been fortunate enough to participate in helping others in the community during a hurricane relief effort in an area that I lived prior. Perhaps you've seen the groups helping with the shirts 'Mormon Helping Hands'. I have enjoyed serving with our youth and watching them grow in the gospel and witnessing their own testimonies being strengthened as they strive to live certain values.
