Hi I'm Kira

I am a young widow raising two beautiful children. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love being a mother! I love to learn and could be a perpetual student. I also love music and participate in a community choir.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be true. How grateful I am for parents who encouraged me to find out on my own if the Book of Mormon was true. My testimony grew through the experiences I had in my youth and I felt I had a solid and firm testimony. The challenge to my testimony came a few years ago when my husband of eight years died rather quickly from cancer. I was left to care for our children ages one and three. This was a difficult time for me, but I was able to draw upon my testimony and I know without a doubt that there is life after death. I know that my family is an eternal family and one day we will be reunited. Without this hope and knowledge I couldn't imagine how I would carry on! I love this gospel. It has helped me to be the best that I can be despite the circumstances that surround me.

How I live my faith

What I love about our Mormon church is that we are given ample opportunities to serve those around us. Right now I help organize women into companionships who then are assigned two sisters to visit monthly. These visits are so much fun. We talk about the gospel, share experiences, serve each other and make great friendships. We become each other's support groups!
