Hi I'm Mehgan

I am 37 year old, single woman, who loves life and living and is in search of all that is good in the world and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outgoing individual who loves people, nature and striving to make a difference in the world. I am very close with my family and they are certainly a great source of strength in my life. I have been married and divorced and although it was one of the hardest difficulties in my life, it allowed me to really understand what I am capable of overcoming. I believe that life is an opportunity, which includes the challenges we are faced with, and although we don't always choose our challenges or disappointments we are powerful enough to rise above them if we learn to rely on the Lord and choose happiness over sorrow, bitterness and an unforgiving heart. I want to live my life and truly enjoy every minute!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents investigated the church for a number of years while I was a young child. My brother and I although very young at the time, still remember encouraging them to take us to church on Sundays. I remember going to primary and learning the primary hymn for children entitled "I am a Child of God"- I still recall the way it made me feel and does to this day. As an adult I am Mormon because I have a strong testimony of the eternal nature of God's plan for his children. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and answers my prayers and I know that God wants us to continue to receive his will on earth today. Through the power of the Priesthood restored to the earth we are blessed to receive God's blessings and revelations today. When I read the Book of Mormon I know it is a continuation of Christ's teachings through the Bible, I know we have it hear on earth so we can apply those teachings to help us today. I am continually learning, growing and preparing as I attend church and the temples we are fortunate enough to enjoy here on earth. I am Mormon because I know the truths found within the Gospel of Jesus Christ have provided me with a foundation upon which to build a happy and rewarding life that will extend into eternity. I am Mormon because I am strengthened by the spirit and community that extends the family I was born in to here on earth- that gives me peace.

How I live my faith

I have learned a great deal from my membership in this church- I have learned to step outside my comfort zone, to speak in public, to serve others, to bring love into my home, to cherish family, to forgive, to prepare for tomorrow, to pray, to give, to hold onto hope, and how to know God and His Son Jesus Christ. My life is brighter because of my service in the Church, currently I serve within the Relief Society (the Woman's organization) and I get to prepare lessons on Sundays, I have also served within the Primary (Children's organization), Young Woman's (Youth Programs), and in other capacities all of which have taught me how to love and serve all, even those who are not easy to love. I live my faith by choosing to live a life dedicated to doing my best to bring peace not contention, love not hate, faith not fear. I am so grateful.
