Hi I'm Armando

I grew up in Fresno, CA. I love Math. I love bike riding, jogging, play sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently returned from serving as a full-time Missionary in the California Anaheim Mission. I'm 23 years old. My hobbies are reading, playing sports, and listening to music. I also enjoy playing the electric and acoustic guitar even though I'm not the best at it. I am currently re-learning to play the piano after having left it for more than 10 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father prepared me to find His true gospel. I have always been the kind of guy who likes to think. Growing up, I thought a lot about what happened to me or my family after we died. I remember one occasion where it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was really young, maybe 9, but I had been thinking about where my Mom would go after she died. I don't know why I was thinking about that, but I started to cry and ran to look for my Mom and told her that I didn't want her to die. In another instance in my life, I thought a lot about where I came from or where my future children are. I would often think about where I came from before I was born and concluded that I had to have lived before I was born. At another time in my life, I thought to myself, "What am I doing here?" I knew that there had to be more to life than what I could see around me. I remember thinking about that one time and thinking that Heavenly Father was calling for me. When I was in my first year of college, I was introduced to the Missionaries by a Seminary Teacher who had the impression to present the Gospel to me. After meeting with the Missionaries for a few months, I had received an answer to my prayers. I came to know about the Plan of Salvation and how it answered my questions. I received an answer that the Book of Mormon is also the Word of God, that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's Kingdom. I was baptized on November 3rd, 2007.

How I live my faith

The best way I live my Faith is by striving to be a good example. Being the only member in my family, I have a lot of eyes on what I do. I wasn't always the best kid growing up, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ has truly been working in my life as I've lived the principles of the Gospel. I am also currently serving in my Church congregation known as a "ward" as a Clerk. I do my best to do what is needed for my calling.
