Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a country girl, Colorado native, and Floridian at heart. I'm a college student, musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm grew up in a small town in eastern Colorado and am currently a student at Brigham Young University. I served an 18 month mission in Jacksonville, Florida, and the surrounding areas, where I taught about Christ and His gospel. I love the outdoors and music. My eventual life goal is to refurbish pianos professionally. I love the gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Latter-Day Saint or "Mormon" my whole life. I gained a testimony a few years ago of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and my church. Since then, I have felt my testimony grow in many ways, especially during my time at BYU. I learned so much from being around so many other stalwart and righteous church members! I know with all my heart that the church is true. I feel wonderful when I read my scriptures and help others grow. I love sharing the word of God with others.

How I live my faith

Even with a busy college schedule, I make time in my everyday life to study the words of God in the scriptures. I love growing my faith and testimony by reading the Book of Mormon. I also try to listen to a talk from one of our church leaders everyday. Prayer is an important part in my life, and I pray many times throughout the day. I attend church weekly, as well as a religious class called institute that is held once a week. I enjoy discussing my gospel studies with others--it's a great way to keep learning! I try to attend the temple once a week. At the temple, you can feel God's love and spirit much clearer, and it is a wonderful place to go for guidance.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

To gain more of a testimony or increase faith in Jesus Christ, have a meaningful prayer. After you finish your prayer, wait a moment so Heavenly Father can send you thoughts and promptings. You should also study the scriptures and really consider what you read, applying them to yourself and your current situation. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

When we take care of our bodies, we are showing respect for God, those around us, and ourselves. People who take care of their body generally are happier and believe in themselves. Our bodies are part of us, and sometime after we die, our bodies and spirits are reunited. It is important to respect our bodies to show that we appreciate them. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Jesus Christ visited the Americas after his resurrection. An account of his visit was recorded in the Book of Mormon. In John 10:16 in the Bible, it says that Christ would visit his "other sheep". The people living in the Americas at this time were the other sheep mentioned by John. Show more Show less
