Hi I'm Dave Campbell

I grew up in northern California. I am happily married with three beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy husband with and amazing wife and father of three beautiful children. My wife and I have moved to Arizona after graduating in Exercise Physiology and going on to chiropractic school in Iowa. I am passionate about being the best father I can be for my family. I love the outdoors! I enjoy being with my loved ones wakeboarding on the lake. I love learning about other cultures and traveling with my wife. I served a mission for my church for two years in Cordoba, Argentina and I have truly grown to love the various latin cultures. I love to golf, hike, repel slot canyons, and mountain bike with my son. I love to cook and spend time creating fabulous meals for friends and family. There is nothing better than enjoying a great meal with friends under patio lights.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I have been blessed with experiences and answers to prayers throughout my life that have truly changed my life. I grew a fond appreciation for prayer and my relationship with Heavenly Father at a fairly young age. I lost my father to cancer at 18 and that experience forced me to ask REAL questions quickly. Instead of feeling all along, I received answers of the exact opposite. I'm part of something quite large and special. I'm part of something eternal. My personal experiences continued through serving people and praying for their health and blessings on my mission. I finally found out what if felt like to serve until you hurt both emotionally and physically. I loved helping and serving alongside the Argentine people. Once again, instead of feeling all alone in a foreign country...after a lot of prayer, I felt an amazing love from warmth from my Heavenly Father. I felt blessed to be part of something so special. I returned home and the answers to prayer continued as I looked to get married, start my career, and my family. All along the way I have continued to feel the closeness of my Heavenly Father in times of trials as well as times of triumphs. In this journey I have sought answers to some very important questions about the purpose of life, life after death, modern-day prophets, the validity of the Book of Mormon, the existence of Joseph Smith, can families be eternal, and much more. I have been humbled and amazed as the answers have come in a variety of ways. Mostly I felt the answers in my heart and whole body that have assured me that these things are true. Every day of my life I draw strength from those answers as I take on the beasts that present us today. Raising a family is hard with the trials that face us in the world today, but no matter what I know that I am part of something much bigger and more important. I know I am loved and find comfort in the ability to call on the powers of heaven to help bless my family.

How I live my faith

As a mormon I find comfort in the fact that living my faith requires a daily commitment. In my local congregation I help serve the kids in the scouting organization as Cubscout Master. This is a blast, but requires time and commitment to something that is special in raising up a community. I also help the members of the congregation by visiting in their homes as a Hometeacher. This is especially important in seeing that the needs of the individual families are met and instruction is provided in the home as well. Serving others is the best way I have felt I can serve the Lord. While I can always do more, whenever I serve I have always been comforted with feelings of joy and love. The congregation actually feels more like extended family as we participate together in parties, holiday celebrations, camping trips, and service projects.
