I am 25 years old. I come from a rather large family! I have 11 siblings, 6 sisters and 5 brothers, and 35 nieces and nephews. My parents are amazing! I am also married to a wonderful women with two amazing children. My family can be hectic at times but its still awesome to get together and be with each other! I love my family! I definitely learned a lot growing up in a house like mine! I love to be in the outdoors! I love camping and just being out in nature in general! I love playing sports. I am currently a senior in college, majoring in social work. I hope to help change lives. I truly strive to love everyone. I am an eagle scout! I loved learning all of the skills that scouting can help with! I love to work hard, there is no better feeling than that! Putting time and effort into the things that I do is rewarding on so many different levels even if I can't see the benefits of it right at the start! I am a very easy going person and I love getting to know people! I love just hanging out and having a good time! I love to laugh and make others laugh! I have amazing friends who help me and support me in pretty much everything that I do! I am proud to be from a small town in Idaho! It's one of the best places on earth!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, baptized at 8 and everything. I think that my true conversion happened my senior year in high school! I mean I had always gone to church and just did what my parents told me to. However to me it didn't even feel like my doing those things even mattered to anyone. I was your average teenager, i was rebelious and I really struggled for a long time with many different things. I ended up doing things that I look back at now and just don't see what I was thinking! Everything came to a head one sunday and I didn't know what to do anymore! I felt like there was no hope for me and I should just give up and stop trying to even do anything that God wanted me to. I decided that I would go home after church and go into my room and just pray and pray until I knew God was there! I now know without a shadow of a doubt that our Heavely Father is there and He loves and cares about each and everyone of us! I know that through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior and his Atonement we can become clean and we will be able to live in the presence of God again! We are never to far gone for Him to love us and want us to come back to Him. He is always knocking just sometimes, like I did, we don't ever open the door to Him and let Him help. I am so greatful for having been baptized into the Church and recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost! I know that that was the first step in getting back to our Father in Heaven and through the rest of my life I hope to be able to live up to the covenants I have made with Him and to live my life so I can return to Him again someday! There is a lot more as to why I am a Mormon, and proud to be so! I have seen the blessings it has been to me and my family and the happiness it has brought us. The blessings that come from baptism are far beyone anything I could have ever imagined at age 8! I know that without those blessings in my life, currently I would be on a completely different path! I am so so proud to be a member of this church!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in all of the church activities every week that I can. I love to help work on projects that better the community with the young men working in scouting. My own project like this was we put in a flag pole in front of the EMS building. It was a pretty tough project but it was awesome! We hand mixed about a pallet and a half of cement and put the 30 foot flag pole in it! It was definitely character building for everyone that helped me! I also love to serve those around me in any way I can. I was the president of the 12-13 year olds and the 14-15 year olds, who are the decons and teachers. I was the 1st assistant to the bishop for the priests in our ward. Basically these callings are meant to help all of the young men have an enjoyable time and to feel the feeling of friendship and brotherhood. I loved seeing the young men grow and strengthen in their testimonies as they got older. I was also a home teacher to some amazing people! We would go and visit a couple of families and share a spiritual thought with them! I absolutely love getting to know new people in my community! Following the example of Jesus Christ throughout his life is one thing that I am far from perfect at but I do try to help all those in need! I love participating in all of the town activities that happen around the holidays! Living my faith is something I am still learning how to do, but I try to do it in the best way i can!
