Hi I'm Blake

I have lived in Arizona my whole life. I love airplanes and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently in high school and am 18 years old. I enjoy doing different activities with my family. One of the activities I like is rappelling and rock climbing. Some of the sports I like to play are volleyball, lacrosse and basketball. I love figuring out how things work and making new things! I love doing anything that involves working with my hands. Airplanes are a huge fascination of mine and I love anything that relates to them! I'm currently working on becoming certified as an aircraft mechanic and will later work toward becoming a pilot!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church. I continue to follow the gospel because I know that it is true. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us all. Joseph Smith was a true prophet who brought the church back to the earth and he also translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that we have a living prophet on the earth today and his name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that someday we can all return to live with him again if we do what is right. The blessings of the gospel are real and I have seen them in my life and because of that, I know without a doubt that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in youth activities in church and serving whenever I can. Every year there is a service project put on by my city that the church participates in and I try to help as much as I can. Every Sunday I help and participate in the sacrament in church and try my best to live the gospel. I'm currently waiting to leave on a mission trip to preach the gospel!

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is used by the church as a means of operation. It pays for the things that the church uses, such as electricity and water bills. It also pays for new supplies that the church needs, such as new books, chairs, and even new buildings. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

A member of the church is not required to serve a mission. It is a priesthood responsibility for the men to fulfil and go on one, but nobody will ever force another to go. A mission is purely served because of the choice of the individual to show their love for our Father in Heaven. In turn, Heavenly Father will pour out blessings upon those individuals who do choose to serve. Show more Show less
