Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Amy. I'm 33 years old, I'm a wife and mother of six. I'm proud to be a stay at home mother and I teach my kids at home. I love to cook and read classic literature, when I can make the time for it! I also adore spending time at the library with my children. I like to be involved in my community, wherever that happens to be. I've lived in Gig Harbor, WA (my hometown), Tualatin, OR and the Spokane, WA area.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I got my associates degree at Rick's College (now BYU-I) and got my bachelors through Excelsior College in Albany, NY. I have seen the blessings of people who live by Christ's teachings, and I have also seen the heartache that comes when they don't. I choose to follow Christ by being a member of His church in these Latter-Days. I am so grateful that I have the gospel to help guide my decisions and to help me be happy, even through adversity and trial, I have the "peace of mind" that comes from knowing I'm doing my best to do what is right. I have faith that I will be blessed for my efforts, whether in this life or the post-mortal life to come. I am constantly trying to improve. I have a long way to go, but I'm working at it!

How I live my faith

I serve at church in our women's organization as a leader and I have the opportunity to serve with and for those women and their families. I help organize monthly activities that educate and inspire women to be their best, to serve each other and our community and to strengthen families and homes. I feel so strongly that as women, we have such a responsiblity to nurture and in our family unit, prepare future upright citizens with core values that include being virtuous and moral even in the face of opposition. I try to live a squeaky clean life, no drinking, no smoking or drugs, no tatoos, I don't use vulgar language or use the Lord's name in vain. I work hard all day, every day. I am faithful to my husband and I love this life!!
