Hi I'm Ren

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a law student. I grew up in a super small town in southern Utah. My family raises pheasants for a living. I like writing, reading, listening to good music, watching great movies. I played a lot of sports in high school and was also very involved in theater. I'm married and couldn't be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the overpowering feeling that membership to His church gives me. I've been a member my whole life, but as a teen when I discovered the truth of the Book of Mormon, I knew that the Lord had given us prophets in these latter days to help lead, guide, and direct us. I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He has given me His gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I implore anyone who can, to read the Book of Mormon and take advantage of the promise provided. Because if the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith is a true prophet. If the Lord has once again given us men who speak directly with Him, then that is the greatest message on earth. I choose to continue to follow His gospel because of the great joy it brings into my life and the knowledge it gives me that as I keep His commandments I can be with all of my family again.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a home teacher and a home teaching supervisor. The Lord has established the great program of home teaching which allows members to serve other members of the church. Every month I visit other members in their homes and we talk about how their month has been, share a message about Christ and His gospel, and see if there is anything that we can help them with. As a home teaching supervisor I help relay the messages of people who need assistance back to the appropriate authorities in the church. If a member is running low on food, we help make sure their pantry is full. If a member is struggling with some form of vice, we try to help them abstain. If a member needs yard work done or other such menial tasks we help them out. Serving other ward members through the home teaching program is one of the most rewarding experiences of being a member of His church. Our Savior allows us the opportunity of service so that we can be like Him, who performed the greatest service of all to us.
