Hi I'm Meagan

Professionally, I'm a dietitian but more importantly I am a wife and mother. I love to make others happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning new things and a few of my new favorite things to do are crafting, gardening, zumba, and exploring state parks. I got my bachelors and masters degrees in dietetics; I like to help people improve their lives by making healthy and delicious food choices (and teaching them that it's okay to enjoy eating a few brownies, too!) I have put my profession on hold because I am now learning to be a good mother to our infant son. I enjoy cooking and laughing and spending time with people I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church but decided as a teenager that I wanted to know for myself that it was true. As I read the scriptures and prayed, I developed my own strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had many chances in my life to build that testimony as I and those around me experience both blessings and trials. As I implement counsel from the prophet and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, I feel peace and happiness in my life even when things are challenging. The gospel helps me have a better relationship with my family and I am a better wife and mother.

How I live my faith

Before I recently moved, I was in charge of the women's group in our congregation. This included visiting them regularly, teaching them about the gospel, helping them with their needs, and organizing activities for them. It was a big job, but I loved it. It taught me to rely on the Lord to help me accomplish all I needed to do. Perhaps the most important way I live my faith is by trying to be a good and patient mother and being an example to my son, even though right now he is only a baby. I sing him songs about Jesus and read him the scriptures. We try to pray together as a family. I am kind to those around me and friendly to my neighbors. I try to notice the needs of those around me to see if there is a way that I can help them.
