Hi I'm Brooke Hammond!

I am a Missionary! #BestCallingI'veEverRecieved! And I am currently serving in the Scotland/Ireland Mission and I love it!

About Me

I love this part of the whole Mormon.org experience haha ;) This is the part we have to try and stay humble yet talk about ourselves. How does that evenly work out anyway? ;) Regardless, at the moment I am a missionary for the best mission in the world. Scotland and Ireland. There is no where else I'd rather be and nothing else I'd rather do than be a missionary right here, right now. I know I was called by God to come to the people here and teach them about Christ's church is restored onto the Earth today.

Why I am a Mormon

I simply LOVE God! :) with the fragment of knowledge I have about all the wonderful things he's blessed me in my life. The best way I personally know that I can return the favour is to LIVE the principles he's given me through his prophets and son Jesus Christ. Yeah, I know those principles are hard and it doesn't always seem to be the "most fun" or the "coolest thing", but I know that God knows the person I can become and the potential I have for living it. It defiantly takes a lot of faith on my part to stay stead fast, and it's a process that takes time... Time is the most precious thing we've been given besides our gift of agency (aka choice), we just have to make sure we choose to make that time worth it. I know with each decision I've made in life whether it was good or bad, they made a ripple affect; just as a rain drop to a pond. The thing about when a rain drop hits the water though is, it doesn't just make one ripple, but multiple. It ripples so much to the fact that it affects the whole rest of the pond. That's how it is with those around me. The choices I make doesn't only affect me, but everyone else around me. So why not try to be the example Christ taught me to be and make that time and actions worth living for?

How I live my faith

Is hard! But SO worth it! I was called to represent Jesus Christ when I chose to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. With such, I am expected to support and heal rather than condemn. I was commanded, "to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death" Mosiah 18:8. I don't know about you, but that seems slightly difficult at times especially with the world throwing things at us like pornography, drugs, exc. But there's a promise that comes with each commandment and the blessing that comes from that covenant I made makes up all the difference. Continuing on from the first half of Mosiah 18:8 the end of it reads, " that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—" Now, you might be thinking, "What does that even mean?". Now, that's an opportunity to contact one of the missionaries on this website and ask... ;) You won't regret doing it. :)
