Hi I'm Brent

I'm a father of three boys, now single, interested in any kind of creative activies, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am an architect currently working for a firm that has been keeping busy in these economic times. But I also enjoy all kinds of other creative activities ... my undergraduate degree is in fine arts, and I love to draw and paint, but I also write music and poetry. I've written the script, lyrics, and music for a full-length musical, and would like to see it performed some day. I am currently single, but have three grown sons that are currently scattered from the west coast to the midwest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) because after looking at it from several different perspectives, (including some where I was trying to find reasons to discredit it) I am certain that it teaches the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It is where Christ has restored His authority which allows those holding the priesthood to provide the ordinances that are necessary for salvation. And finally, I am a member because I have received assurances that this is what God wants me to do in order to please Him.

How I live my faith

I am currently involved in my congregation as a High Priest Group Leader. This means that I help the other Priesthood holders who have been ordained as High Priests by keeping the home teaching efforts organized, overseeing the group instruction, and whatever other needs might come to my attention. In my personal life I am continually trying to improve and do better in all my endeavors.
